I could write a lot about why I care very deeply about civil governance. I possess a deep fondness for Edgefield County because it is where my heritage is. My family history in Edgefield County goes back to the 1800’s. I find it interesting my ancestors many, many generations ago moved here from Augusta County, Virginia! I personally emigrated here from Virginia in 2013, to my great grandfathers farmhouse I now reside in, even though I have been visiting here since I was a baby!
In 2022, following six years on County Council, half of that time as Chairman, I did not seek re-election due to family health issues. In the two years since that time, the family health issues have been resolved, and I remain deeply concerned about the economic pressures facing Edgefield County. Our response to those challenges will impact future generations. I believe my experience in several industries, not just serving in local government, will help Edgefield County, and the Sweetwater Community in particular, grow in a way which will benefit future generations.
I hope you will look at each page on this site, as you consider your vote on June 11th! Not only have I been engaged in many of the decisions made in recent years in Edgefield County, I have studied and am also engaged in numerous issues at the state and national levels, in addition the local level.
