There is no question that our region is changing due to the demographic changes taking place in our nation. I believe it is critically important that we foster an environment which cherishes and honors our heritage while at the same time accepting our new neighbors with Southern Hospitality. I believe due to my roots in this community, with a diverse background having also lived in numerous regions of our nation as well as Europe, I can help foster the type of environment which will benefit our growing diverse neighborhoods.
The Community Center in Sweetwater I hope will continue to play a central role. While it fell into disrepair in recent decades, its recent renovation enhances our growing community. If elected, I will work to bring about additional recreational facilities to the Sweetwater and Merriwether Communities.
Recreational facilities and opportunities are critically important to resilient happy communities!
